MISSION PAINTBALL GAMES

What is Mission Paintball?
Mission Paintball is a brand new style of paintball gaming born in the woodlands of Western Pennsylvania. Mission Paintball mixes all the best aspects of scenario games and mix in some new features that both traditional and "modern" (tourney) players alike will surely find intriguing...
Our Mission Paintball Games are provided by Mission Masters.

What makes Mission Paintball Games different than
"Scenario Games?"

The major difference between Mission Paintball and traditional scenario games is the continuity of play. While standard scenario games tend to start at a set time and go on for hours without pausing, Mission Paintball consists of several 20-minute "mission segments" with 15 minute breaks between segments so that teams can gear up and talk strategy while the officials tally scores. This new format guarantees that teams face each other with full force every time they meet, rather than having smaller, continuous, and sometimes ill-matched skirmishes.

Mission Paintball manages to keep all the great characteristics of scenario games (ie. the costumes, unique "weapons", props, etc), yet it also eliminates one of the major complaints made by non-scenario players; that being, the difficulty encountered when trying to stick together with friends! While traditional scenario games often inadvertently split up groups of friends due to dead-box time, the new mission paintball format helps and encourages comrades to regroup between sessions! This frequent opportunity to regroup not only aids group strategizing, but also makes the overall paintball experience much more enjoyable!

What are Missions?
Another great aspect of Mission Paintball is, of course, the missions themselves! Rather than simply trying to shoot everybody, teams have specific objectives that they must carry out in each segment in order to win the overall game. Granted, many modern scenario games include "missions" as well, however these traditional missions usually only involve part of a team, rather than the entire force. Mission Paintball Games provide objectives for each side for each segment, then allows the team members to decide how best to carry out the missions. Not only does this make it easier for friends to stick together, but it also means that weaker teams with fewer players can still have a fairly good chance of winning the game if they can come up with clever ways to complete their objectives.

Missions are how the game is won or lost. The more mission objectives completed, the better your chances of your team winning the game. When all the missions have been played, and the final horn sounds, the game is over. Both teams gather with the judges to hear the final point tally.

Mission Paintball Game Success
Thus far, Mission Paintball seems to be a smashing success! Our first official Mission Paintball Game, titled "Alien Invasion: A Paintball Incident," was played on May 1st, 2004, at Three Rivers Paintball Park in Freedom, PA. Initial player interviews reaped almost unanimous reports of satisfaction and glee! And it just keeps getting better! Two more Mission Paintball events were held in the 2004 season including "Operation Hamburger Hill" and "Painted Fate: War on Terror."
Three NEW Mission Paintball Games are scheduled for the 2005 Season: "Alien Invasion: They're Back!,"
WWII: Axis vz Allies," and "Resident Evil: Grave Danger."
